LAを拠点とするAnton HochheimとChristoph Hochheimの兄弟デュオ「Always You」。
Beach Fossils、The Pains of Being Pure at Heartなどのサポートも務めるUSインディのキーパーソンである「Always You」の二人が、Stones Throw Recordsからのリリースでも知られるJerry Paper(Lucas Nathan)プロデュースの元、アルバム「Bloom Off The Rose」をリリースする。
Prefab SproutやThe Blue Nileら80年代のSophisti PopやBlue Eyed Soul、日本のAOR/City Popなどからの影響を想起させる上質なインディソウル・サウンド。
エンジニアには、Ariel Pink、Julia Holter、Weyes Bloodなどの作品で知られるKenny Gilmore。
マスタリングは、Mac DeMarco、Wild Nothing、Slowdiveなどを手掛けるJosh Bonati。
また、TAWINGSのCony Planktonをヴォーカルに迎えた収録曲「All I Wanted Was You」の別ヴァージョンも制作され、アルバムに先駆け、シングルとしてもリリースされた。
