セルフ・レーベルPlastic & Soundsから初となるアルバム「Silent Way」が本日3月27日にデジタル・リリース。
収録曲「TRNS」のMusic Videoが公開。
5月18日（月）には、 WWWにて「Shinichi Atobe - 'Silent Way' Release Live featuring 'Heat' set.」の開催も発表された。

A solitary electronic musician, Shinichi Atobe, who quietly defies the conventions of his era while continuously evolving in real time.
The album “Silent Way” is being released digitally today, March 27. The first album released on his own label Plastic & Sounds.
The music video for the track “TRNS” has been released.
On Monday, May 18, it was also announced on the WWW, Tokyo that “Shinichi Atobe -‘Silent Way’ Release Live featuring ‘Heat’ set” would be held.

2025年7月突如始動させたセルフ・レーベル【Plastic & Sounds】より、二枚の12インチ・シングルを経て、現時点での集大成となる全10曲を収録したアルバム「Silent Way」がデジタルで3月27日、Colored Vinyl 2LP（Gatefold Sleeve/33RPM/Limited Press）レコードが4月29日にリリース。
マスタリング／レコード・カッティングは、ベルリンのRashad Becker。アートワークは、写真家、山谷佑介の作品を核に、P&Sの全作品を手がける鈴木聖がその世界観を構築。
昨年、10月、Resident Advisorの人気シリーズ「RA Podcast」に登場し2023年4月に行われた世界初ライブの音源が公開、渋谷WWWにて、Plastic & Soundsローンチ公演「"Plastic & Sounds" label launch party」を開催。2026年1月には、同会場のニューイヤーパーティーで名盤「Haet」のライブセットを披露。
また、前作「Discipline」がPitchforkの「The 30 Best Electronic Albums of 2025」に、そして代表曲のひとつである「Butterfly Effect」がRA（Resident Advisor）の「The Best Electronic Tracks of 2000-25」に選出されるなど国内外で注目の高まる中のリリースとなる。

Following two 12-inch singles released on the self-run label [Plastic & Sounds], which was launched unexpectedly in July 2025, the album “Silent Way”－a 10-track collection representing the artist’s work to date - will be released digitally on March 27, with a colored vinyl 2LP (gatefold sleeve, 33 RPM, limited edition) set to follow on April 29.
Mastering and record cutting by Rashad Becker in Berlin. The artwork centres on photographer Yusuke Yamatani's work, with Satoshi Suzuki?who handles all P&S releases?constructing the overall aesthetic.
Last October, they appeared on Resident Advisor's popular series “RA Podcast”, with audio from their world premiere live performance in April 2023 released. They held the “Plastic & Sounds” label launch party at Shibuya WWW. In January 2026, they performed a live set of their acclaimed album “Haet” at the venue's New Year's party.
This release comes amidst growing international acclaim, with their previous album ‘Discipline’ featured in Pitchfork's ‘The 30 Best Electronic Albums of 2025’, and one of their signature tracks, ‘Butterfly Effect’, selected for RA (Resident Advisor)'s ‘The Best Electronic Tracks of 2000-25’.

Shinichi Atobe

Electronic artists based in Saitama, Japan.
He made his debut with the 12-inch “Ship-Scope” (2001) released on Chain Reaction, a sub label of Basic Channel, a 90s cult label leading to dub techno and then the “minimal” trend of the 00s. A decade later, in early 2010s, he released his first full-length album, “Butterfly Effect” (2014) on DDS label by lobbying of Manchester duo Demdike Stare.
Since then, he has consistently released “World” (2016), “From The Heart, It's a Start, a Work of Art” (2017), “Heat” (2018), “Yes” (2020), “Love of Plastic” (2022),  “Discipline” and the EP ‘Ongaku 1’ (2024). He has garnered a large number of music listeners as well as club audiences and has received acclaim from various music media.

Although his debut on the legendary Chain Reaction and his releases on DDS have brought him to the attention of the world, he has remained an enigmatic and rare entity.
In 2025, he established his own private label, "Plastic & Sounds" . On March 27, 2026, released the album “Silent Way” via Plastic & Sounds.

埼玉を拠点に活動する電子音楽家。
ダブ・テクノ、その後の00年代の一大潮流"ミニマル"にまで至る90年代のカルト・レーベルBasic Channel傘下のChain Reactionからリリースされた12インチ「Ship-Scope」（2001年）でデビューを果たす。その10年後となる2010年代初頭、マンチェスターのデュオDemdike Stareの働きかけによりレーベルDDSから初のフル・アルバム「Butterfly Effect」（2014年）をリリース。
それ以来同レーベルからコンスタントに「World」（2016年）、「From The Heart, It's A Start, A Work of Art」（2017年）、「Heat」（2018年）、「Yes」（2020年）、「Love of Plastic」（2022年）、「Discipline」、EP「Ongaku 1」（2024年）をリリース。クラブオーディエンスだけでなく多くの音楽リスナーを獲得し、多様な音楽媒体からも定評を受けている。

伝説化されたChain Reactionからのデビュー、DDSからのリリースをきっかけに世界に知れ渡ることになるものの、謎めいた稀有な存在として注目をされ続けている。
2025年には自身のプライベート・レーベル【Plastic & Sounds】を設立。2026年3月27日、Plastic & Soundsよりアルバム「Silent Way」をリリース。
